Yathrib

Yathrib (Arabic); the original name of the city of Medina in present-day Saudi Arabia.  After the exodus from Mecca in the year 622 the Prophet went to Medina with his followers, where his movement found wide acceptance for the first time.  After Mecca, Medina is the second holiest city of Islam and may not be entered by non-Muslims.
